Want a piece of marbled fabric that is uniquely yours? Want a piece designed for that new project you're working on? Marble-T Design offers custom marbling. Choose a pattern and four to six colors that would complement your project. The patterns shown on the Fabric page are just a small sample of what we can create on fabric.

Marbling is a labor-intensive process but actually comes to you ready to use: all fabrics are preshrunk and heat-set for color-fastness, so no need for you to pretreat. (If you're worried about that heirloom piece you're working on, pretreat in a gentle hand-wash.) We aim to cut material on the grain. Every ten yards that we cut off a bolt, we tear to get the straight of grain. When we pretreat, we cut extra to allow for shrinkage, and in that way you get as close to the yardage as you ordered. Large pieces are serged before pretreating to prevent raveling and stray threads that can create "lines" in the marbling process.

Some Options:
1) send us a selvage piece for which you would like coordinating fabric - this will give us a base of colors to begin.

2) send a 6" square of some fabric you would like to have marbled; for a small charge, we will test your piece of fabric with the colors you would like and send it back to you for approval.

• $3.50 per yard (marbled in one-yard pieces)
